The CAp'n Roy's Story



Owner, Lee Roy Summerlin opened Cap'n Roy's in 2006 after spending over 30 years as a charter captain on the Laguna Madre Bay.


Over the years he met so many wonderful chefs and knew when the time was right to retire from the water and open a quaint little spot, with delicious, inexpensive food, and quick service.


With so many great restaurants on SPI, we never knew how popular we would become with both the locals and visitors alike. We are humbled and grateful everyday for our continued success, and want to thank you for being a part of our dream!
